About the Role
Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to provide executive leadership for digital infrastructure and development. This pivotal role will significantly influence digital strategy across the Trust, the North East London Integrated Care System (NEL ICS), and national digital networks. The CDO will be responsible for embedding digital technology as a fundamental component in delivering safe, high-quality, efficient, and equitable patient care.
As the Trust's foremost digital leader, the CDO will spearhead major digital transformation initiatives. This includes optimizing the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, ensuring the robustness and security of digital infrastructure, and enhancing data, analytics, and overall digital capabilities.
The position requires operating at Board and system levels, blending strategic vision with astute commercial, financial, and operational management. Building strong collaborations with clinicians, system partners, industry experts, and academic institutions will be crucial.
