Role overview

For a life sciences company in the greater Munich area, a permanent Controller role focused on international group controlling is available as soon as possible. The position is based in the Munich region and is intended for an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

  • Review financial figures and turn them into clear management reports, including variance and target-vs-actual analyses.
  • Advise managing directors and finance directors on strategic and business-related decisions.
  • Lead recurring performance discussions with business unit leadership to assess economic development.
  • Independently coordinate and quality-check financial planning as part of the annual commitment conferences.
  • Ensure smooth and structured information exchange between international subsidiaries and group business leadership.
  • Contribute actively to controlling initiatives and support the improvement of processes and best practices.

Candidate profile

  • A completed degree in business administration with a focus on controlling and finance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in equity or investment controlling within a medium-sized organization.
  • Strong expertise in liquidity forecasting, financial analysis, planning, and business case modelling.
  • Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, plus experience with SAP and BI tools.
  • Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
  • A communicative, assertive personality with a strong analytical mindset.

Additional information
