Position Overview

The Greenhouse Manager will oversee operations at a 5-acre farm featuring four greenhouses. This role requires expertise in sustainable agriculture and hands-on management of greenhouse environments to maximize crop yield and maintain quality.

Key Duties

• Manage daily greenhouse activities such as planting, irrigation, pest management, and harvesting.
• Maintain ideal growing conditions using climate regulation, fertilization techniques, and disease control.
• Lead, mentor, and train greenhouse staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Monitor crop health and productivity to enhance overall efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
• Handle inventory, budgeting, and procurement related to greenhouse supplies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferably a bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience managing greenhouses or controlled environment agriculture.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and effective pest control methods.
