Job description
About YouFibre
YouFibre stands as one of the swiftly expanding broadband providers in the UK, committed to delivering fast, fair, full-fibre broadband. As a dynamic challenger brand, YouFibre constantly refreshes customer experiences across all interaction points.
Within the company exists a tightly-knit in-house creative team responsible for shaping all visual and interactive customer engagements. This team oversees everything from brand strategy and packaging through UX/UI, front-end prototyping, and campaign creation, closely partnering with marketing, product, and development functions to bring concepts to fruition.
Role Overview
We are seeking a talented mid-weight multidisciplinary designer with strong UX/UI expertise to join our creative studio. This role offers a variety of design challenges, including tackling user experience problems, developing appealing digital interfaces, and fluidly shifting between product-related design and marketing creatives. Your tasks might range from refining user flows in Figma to designing product launch campaigns or contributing to the evolution of our design system.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft compelling creative content for digital marketing campaigns deployed through paid social media, display ads, email, websites, and other customer platforms.
- Design refined, accessible user interfaces for the YouFibre website, customer portal, and mobile app based on established user journeys and wireframes.
- Work collaboratively with fellow designers, marketers, developers, and other stakeholders to produce seamless and customer-focused digital experiences.
- Develop interactive front-end prototypes in Figma that effectively showcase product behaviors and user journeys rather than static visuals.
- Maintain and advance our Figma-based design system, ensuring uniformity, scalability, and high-quality visual standards across digital products.
- Organize design assets methodically and coordinate closely with developers to guarantee faithful implementation of designs.
- Occasionally contribute to broader brand initiatives, including printed materials, event collateral, merchandise, internal communications, and assorted creative tasks.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in digital, brand, or product design roles.
- A robust portfolio showcasing outstanding visual design in digital products and marketing material.
- Proficient UX/UI design abilities for responsive web and mobile platforms.
- Competence in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with design systems, component libraries, and responsive layout design within Figma.
- Keen eye for typography, spatial layout, color schemes, and visual hierarchy.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- Confidence in presenting design concepts and working collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Skills in After Effects and other digital/motion graphics disciplines.
- Experience incorporating UI micro-interactions, motion prototypes, or interface animations.
- Awareness of front-end development workflows and designing with implementation considerations.
- Prior experience within in-house creative teams or design agencies.
Benefits & Perks
- Birthday off to celebrate your special day.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Pension scheme with employer matching up to 8%.
- Health care cash plan included.
- Cycle-to-work scheme.
- Employee assistance programmes for wellbeing.
- Provision of PPE and uniform.
- Company-supplied IT equipment.
- Option to work remotely.
- Discounted memberships for gyms.
- Access to retail discounts from leading brands.
- Participation in company events.
- Reimbursement of travel expenses.
- Annual bonus potential of up to 30% of salary, subject to company discretion.
- Complimentary YouFibre broadband service if within coverage area, plus discounts for friends and family.
Working Hours & Location
This full-time permanent position operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and is fully remote.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
