Role overview

Leyton UK is looking for a Graduate Sales Development Representative based in Manchester. The role is centred on creating qualified first meetings for the business development team by identifying potential clients, researching them, and reaching out through calls and other prospecting methods. You will introduce Leyton UK’s consultancy offerings and work to secure face-to-face meetings with a Business Development Manager.

What you will do

This position is focused on opening new business conversations and generating high-quality meetings. A large part of the job involves speaking with senior decision-makers, presenting strategic consulting solutions, and actively pursuing new commercial opportunities. The role typically includes making around 70 to 80 calls each day.

  • Source leads using multiple routes such as cold outreach, inbound interest, and networking events.
  • Assess prospects to decide whether they match the company’s target client profile.
  • Study potential customers and their sectors to understand their challenges and requirements.
  • Develop trust with prospects and explain Leyton’s services, including R&D tax credits and incentives.
  • Arrange and manage meetings between qualified prospects and the sales team.
  • Work alongside marketing to strengthen lead generation activity and improve outreach approaches.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and current for all lead and prospect interactions.
  • Take part in ongoing training and development to build knowledge of services, market developments, and sales methods.
  • Meet and surpass weekly, monthly, and quarterly lead generation goals.
