Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our head office team in Dundalk. The role involves assisting with the preparation and management of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), supporting cost planning, budgeting, and monitoring project expenditures for various construction projects. Responsibilities include cost control, cost reporting, collaborating with project managers, site teams, and suppliers, supporting tender processes, valuing works, and preparing final accounts. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
- Support accurate cost planning and budgeting across residential and commercial developments.
- Monitor project costs and contribute to cost control measures to ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Prepare cost reports to provide timely financial updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, site teams, and suppliers.
- Assist in tender preparation, valuation of works, and compilation of final accounts.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a degree or be in the final year of study in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work with Bills of Quantities and contribute to detailed cost planning.
- Skills in cost control, cost management, and cost reporting.
- Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar with quantity surveying or construction management software.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Full driving license and access to a personal vehicle, necessary for site visits.
- Motivation to learn, adapt, and develop professionally within a dynamic construction environment.
