About the Position

We are an established investment fund specializing in Shipping and Energy sectors looking for a highly skilled Graduate Quantitative Analyst to join our team in Central London starting Autumn 2026. This role requires a strong foundation in quantitative techniques combined with an enthusiasm for artificial intelligence applications in financial analysis and modelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed financial analysis and valuation focused on Shipping and Energy industries.
  • Conduct comprehensive company and sector research to support investment decisions.
  • Develop forecasting models and conduct scenario analyses to project financial outcomes.
  • Build and refine robust financial models to facilitate portfolio construction and evaluation.
  • Integrate AI tools to improve research productivity and streamline analytical workflow.
  • Interpret complex datasets and apply quantitative methods to extract insights.
  • Prepare professional reports, presentations, and investment documentation for stakeholders.
  • Assist senior professionals in strategic and commercial decision-making processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional numerical and analytical capabilities with demonstrated academic excellence.
  • Genuine interest in financial markets, business models, and financial modelling techniques.
  • Proactive engagement with AI platforms and modern data analysis tools, or a strong motivation to learn them quickly.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in finance or related subjects, or alternatively 1–2 years’ experience as a financial analyst.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or another quantitative discipline.
  • Sound understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Excel and financial modelling software.

Additional Desirable Skills

  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI tools such as large language models and data automation platforms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and analytical tools including Python, VBA, SQL, or other data analytics software.
