Role overview
An investment manager in London is hiring recent graduates to join its Operations function as Operations Analysts. This is a varied, hands-on position with exposure to several parts of the investment management process. The role supports the wider business by helping portfolio management, compliance, risk, and client service teams keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll do
- Work with the trading and FX team after trades are executed, helping coordinate settlements with brokers and custodians and following up on any exceptions.
- Keep day-to-day operational workflows moving so that data is transferred correctly and on time between systems and stakeholders.
- Check, match, and maintain important operational records such as transactions, holdings, and valuations.
- Handle corporate actions and proxy voting activity, ensuring elections are completed within deadlines.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Compliance & Risk, Portfolio Managers, and Client Services to meet operational needs from end to end.
- Coordinate with external providers such as brokers, custodians, fund administrators, and data vendors.
- Support the introduction and adoption of new technology within the Investment Operations team.
- Contribute to improvements in workflows, including automation and process optimisation.
- Help maintain strong operational controls and support risk management processes.
