Overview
This is an excellent prospect for graduates in Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics to join a UK retail business' marketing analytics team as a Graduate Insight Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Watford with a hybrid working model. The role involves supporting the marketing department and broader company by delivering vital data-driven analysis to promote informed decision-making. You'll analyze diverse data sets including customer behavior, shopping channels, loyalty program data, and various business metrics.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leverage customer data to develop detailed reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights for the entire organization, including managing loyalty scheme reporting and backing internal programs with customer-focused analytics.
- Offer analytical assistance addressing a broad scope of business inquiries, conducting comprehensive investigations to deliver evidence-based findings, specifically targeting customer behavior and multi-channel performance improvements.
- Maintain awareness of macroeconomic, retail, and consumer trends by producing timely reports on indicators such as Consumer Confidence and market share, alongside conducting regular competitor visits to identify industry trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Enhance coding standards, utilize advanced methods to speed analytics processes, and integrate AI-driven tools to facilitate coding and analysis in new projects.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Degree-level education, preferably in numerical subjects, with minimum A-Level Mathematics.
- Proficient in advanced spreadsheet handling and data manipulation; programming knowledge in SQL or BigQuery is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking paired with effective communication abilities.
- Basic understanding and enthusiasm for data analysis principles.
- Team-oriented mindset with confidence in presentations and the ability to articulate reasoning clearly.
- Adaptable to fast-paced environments with a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.

Applicants must have full working rights in the UK and reside within commuting distance to Watford. The salary for this role is approximately a330,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
