About the Role
Focus Group, a rapidly expanding private equity-backed technology firm, is seeking a Graduate FP&A Analyst to join their team in Shoreham-by-Sea. This role balances onsite presence with the flexibility to work from home two days a week. As an integral part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department, this position offers a hands-on opportunity to work on meaningful business challenges starting from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to the creation of the annual business plan, periodic forecasts, and management reports.
- Providing actionable insights and analyses that support the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Assisting with commission administration and the evaluation of commission structures.
- Designing and monitoring KPIs and other performance metrics aligned with company strategy.
- Leading scenario modeling activities and capital expenditure forecasting.
- Gathering and integrating data from various systems to generate comprehensive business insights.
- Participating in broader financial projects across the department.
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree with strong academic results.
- Excellent analytical abilities combined with independent critical thinking.
- Proficient Excel user, ideally with experience in planning or business intelligence software such as Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, or Adaptive.
- Curiosity about business operations beyond just numerical data.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills capable of clearly explaining complex analyses in written, graphical, and verbal formats.
- Motivated and aspiring to develop a professional career in the finance sector.
Preferred but Not Mandatory
- Degree focused on Accounting, Finance, Business, or Management fields.
- Prior experience in FP&A, mergers & acquisitions, transaction services, or strategic consulting.
- Competency in Power BI or comparable data visualization tools.
