A restaurant-sector company in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is hiring a Government Relations Specialist to manage official dealings with public authorities and oversee key compliance-related employee and business processes.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the company’s representative with government departments and relevant regulatory bodies.
- Handle and track all non-Saudi employee administration, including residence permits, work visas, exit and re-entry permits, transfer of sponsorship/services, and iqama cancellation.
- Maintain company accounts on government portals and complete related transactions across platforms such as Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, Absher Business, Balady, the Ministry of Commerce, Hadaf, and other related entities.
- Monitor the issuance and renewal of health certificates for employees and ensure all associated regulatory requirements are completed.
- Follow up on the renewal of government and operational licenses for branches and verify ongoing compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Three to five years of experience in government relations.
- Prior exposure to the restaurant or hospitality sector is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant government systems, regulations, and platforms.
