Job description
Role Overview
The Government Property Administrator at KIHOMAC is responsible for maintaining accurate property records, coordinating inventory and surveillance at various sites, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure asset accountability. This position entails active participation in audits and self-assessments, as well as supporting program management in property lifecycle activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and review property data within the property database to ensure correctness and currency.
- Generate regular and special reports related to property/material status, inventory plans, contract property reporting, and system module updates as required.
- Organize and execute property surveillance and annual physical inventories at supplier and subcontractor sites, working alongside Buyers, Subcontract Administrators, and Property Focal Points to maintain asset accountability.
- Engage frequently with internal/external customers and governmental regulatory bodies.
- Support Property Management System Analysis, Contractor Self-Assessment activities, quality audits including AS9100, and Mission Assurance reviews.
- Assist program teams in planning and managing the full property management lifecycle.
- Provide guidance and assistance to other team members when needed.
- Maintain records related to property conditions and oversee disposition of obsolete or surplus materials.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in management or related field is required; alternative experience of 4+ years may substitute for degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in property or asset management.
- Experience managing assets in hazardous workplace environments.
- Preferably has aerospace or defense industry experience.
- Proven involvement in developing property/asset management practices, techniques, and standards.
- Familiarity with federal regulations including FAR 52-245.1 and DFARS, with sound ability to interpret and apply these independently.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Willingness to occasionally work irregular hours and travel as necessary.
Certifications
- Possession or pursuit of National Property Management Association certifications such as CPPS, CPPA, or CPPM is desired.
Security and Physical Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- May require ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Physically capable of occasional reaching movements; prolonged desk work at computer while sitting or standing.
- Compliance with safety protocols in areas necessitating personal protective equipment.
- Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds safely.
