Role overview
This executive position is responsible for steering the company’s worldwide project management function. The role focuses on leading major strategic initiatives across different regions and business lines, making sure execution stays aligned with organizational goals and operates with a high standard of consistency and excellence.
What you will do
- Create and roll out global project management strategies, governance models, standards, and delivery methods.
- Direct a portfolio of high-priority projects and programs spanning international markets.
- Keep initiatives on track for schedule, scope, budget, and quality targets.
- Build and sustain a strong, effective Project Management Office.
- Partner with senior leadership to connect project priorities with business growth and corporate strategy.
- Guide cross-functional teams operating across multiple countries to deliver business outcomes.
- Spot project risks early, put mitigation plans in place, and drive timely resolution of issues.
- Track project health through performance indicators, dashboards, and executive-level updates.
- Promote ongoing improvement and strong project delivery practices across the organization.
- Oversee planning of people, budgets, forecasts, and resources for global operations.
- Encourage coordination among regional leaders, stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
- Contribute to transformation programs, digital initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic efforts.
- Make sure project work complies with company policies, industry rules, and international standards.
- Coach and grow project management leaders and teams around the world.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.
- At least 12 years of progressive experience in project management, with senior leadership exposure.
- Hands-on background leading large global initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of delivery approaches such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or a similar project management certification is preferred.
- Track record of managing complex international programs with multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Strong capabilities in financial oversight, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
