Job description
Role overview
This is a senior, Perth-based leadership opportunity with a global consumer products business backed by a private equity investor. The organisation is expanding quickly across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, and is seeking a commercially sharp supply chain and operations leader to build a more unified and high-performing global operating model.
The position combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution. It suits someone who has worked in complex multinational environments and is equally comfortable shaping long-term operating strategy and stepping into the data to resolve practical bottlenecks. The role includes some domestic and international travel.
What the role will focus on
- Developing and rolling out a scalable global operating model spanning the consolidation hub in China, six company-owned warehouses and an extensive 3PL network.
- Leading, coaching and motivating an extended team of more than 30 cross-cultural team members across the US, China and Western Australia.
- Owning end-to-end cost-to-serve performance, including inbound freight from China, Incoterms management, landed cost optimisation and carrier performance.
- Standardising ERP, WMS and freight systems to create a consistent single source of truth across the business.
- Driving sustainable initiatives, including environmentally responsible packaging and greener freight practices.
- Strengthening a proactive, people-first safety culture where safe behaviours are part of everyday operations.
What you need to bring
The business is looking for a decisive, analytical leader with a strong delivery mindset. You should be able to identify underperformance and take direct action to correct it, while still influencing at executive level.
- At least 12 years of senior-level supply chain and logistics leadership experience in a global, matrixed environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of international freight, especially shipments from Asia/China, 3PL governance and offshore pick-and-pack operations.
- Experience in consumer goods or wholesale is highly valued, although broad end-to-end supply chain capability and commercial judgment are the key requirements.
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business is required; an MBA would be an advantage.
Additional information
This is a full-time onsite role based in Perth, Western Australia. The package is described as attractive. The role sits within a fast-moving, ambitious business where speed, ownership and execution matter.
