About the Role

Join a renowned fashion brand as a Global Outerwear Designer manager, where you'll play a vital role in translating international design directions into market-ready, commercially viable outerwear products. You will adapt pre-selected seasonal designs, oversee product updates, and ensure precision throughout the development stages. Collaborating closely with Merchandising, Technical Design, and Product Development teams, you will keep seasonal deadlines, meet margin goals, and uphold brand quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Design Director in interpreting seasonal concepts, colors, and key items.
• Implement global European design strategies tailored for the North American market based on selections by senior merchandising leadership.
• Design cohesive product collections incorporating various prints and an expert understanding of color, materials, garment construction, and brand identity.
• Manage multiple seasons simultaneously, balancing current season execution with future planning.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to acquire samples, artwork, and cost details; modify designs to meet style and margin objectives.
• Produce detailed technical sketches and tech packs, maintain accurate BOMs in PLM systems, and communicate updates with development partners and suppliers.
• Seek opportunities to standardize fabrics and trims across product lines.
• Oversee artwork and CAD file libraries, ensuring consistent style and color alignment across platforms and presentations.
• Manage virtual presentation tools and create digital boards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in fittings and work with Technical Design to ensure fit and construction meet quality standards.
• Review and approve lab dips, handlooms, wash panels, and pre-production samples including color variations.
• Engage in development and post-prototype meetings to communicate and track feedback implementation.
• Maintain alignment with key calendar deadlines and proactively address potential delays.
• Prepare and deliver engaging design presentations and product reviews to leadership and cross-functional groups.

Candidate Profile

• 8 to 10 years of experience specifically in outerwear design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Sciences, or related fields (BA/BS) or equivalent education.
• Deep understanding of the design process with demonstrable design experience.
• Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, PLM software (Centric), and collaboration tools like MIRO.
• Highly adaptable professional able to thrive in a dynamic environment with frequent changes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Solution-driven mindset with a passion to support team objectives.
• Creative problem solver focused on improving processes for efficiency and growth.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary ranges between $82,500 and $117,100. This role also qualifies for bonus incentives.
