  • Implementing manufacturing processes and systems characterized by automation, lean principles, and precise assembly techniques.
  • Driving ongoing process improvements targeting cost efficiency, quality enhancement, throughput, and operational excellence.
  • Setting up KPIs and process controls to monitor manufacturing performance continuously.
  • Collaborating closely with R&D, engineering, and product design to ensure design for manufacturability and smooth production launches.
  • Aligning with supply chain, procurement, and finance teams to coordinate sourcing, budgeting, and readiness for production.
  • Providing strategic inputs to product development regarding design tradeoffs and manufacturability from a factory perspective.
  • Establishing and managing strong quality assurance systems and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and certification standards such as ISO, CE, and UL.
  • Leading root cause analyses and corrective actions to handle production challenges effectively and sustainably.
  • Ensuring workplace safety and adherence to manufacturing certification requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • Over 10 years in senior manufacturing roles within hardware-focused sectors like robotics, automotive, aerospace, or complex machinery.
  • Proven record of scaling manufacturing from prototype phase to high-volume production environments.
  • Thorough familiarity with modern practices including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Strong technical understanding spanning mechanical, electrical, and integrated software systems.
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively across product, engineering, and operations groups.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, especially in capacity planning, cost management, and operational oversight.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching greenfield manufacturing plants or scaling manufacturing in startup contexts.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MES systems and digital manufacturing technologies.
  • Expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and automation of complex electro-mechanical products.
  • A passionate interest in robotics, artificial intelligence, and human-machine interaction advancement.

Employee Benefits

  • Equity participation through stock options offering significant upside potential.
  • Generous paid time off exceeding 30 days annually, including UK public holidays and company-wide closure periods during Christmas to New Year.
  • Comprehensive private healthcare covering virtual and in-person services.
