About Port.io
Port.io is pioneering an open, flexible Agentic Engineering Platform designed for the needs of contemporary engineering organizations. Following a substantial $100M Series C funding injection, the company is rapidly expanding with notable enterprise traction. The platform acts as a centralized nervous system for engineering teams, allowing platform teams to unify and govern their technology stack, delivering seamless 'golden paths' for developers and AI agents. By merging comprehensive engineering context, workflows, and actionable insights, Port.io enables organizations to shift from manual tasks to autonomous, AI-augmented engineering workflows while preserving control and accountability. As a product-driven organization, Port.io is committed to crafting world-class platforms that fundamentally reshape modern engineering operations.
Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic leader experienced in partnership building to spearhead the creation and scaling of our global partner ecosystem from scratch. This pivotal role involves spearheading the development of an influential network comprising channel partners, global system integrators (GSIs), and strategic resellers, who will serve as extensions of our sales and delivery functions. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, acts decisively, and possesses the strategic insight to develop scalable models across North American, EMEA, and APJ markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global partner strategy aimed at building a robust ecosystem across channels, GSIs, and strategic alliances to penetrate enterprise and mid-market engineering sectors.
- Create and scale a reproducible partner framework, initiating in North America and expanding internationally, emphasizing partner recruitment, enablement, and go-to-market strategies.
- Establish and manage a distinct GSI engagement approach, cultivating strategic partnerships with GSIs and integrating Port.io’s solutions into their consulting services to enhance enterprise reach and adoption.
- Drive significant revenue from partner-sourced and partner-influenced deals by collaborating closely with sales teams to optimize deal strategies, accelerate the sales pipeline, and increase partner involvement in key accounts.
- Design and execute a scalable partner program featuring onboarding, training, certifications, and repeatable sales processes that empower partners to effectively position, sell, and implement Port.io.
- Foster executive-level collaborations with key partners, conducting strategic planning sessions and quarterly business reviews to sustain growth, accountability, and mutual success.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and alliance teams to align partner strategies with territory plans, market trends, and evolving products.
- Continuously refine and iterate the ecosystem strategy by integrating market intelligence and partner feedback to inform product development, marketing positioning, and long-term growth initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 7 to 10+ years of proven experience building and scaling partner ecosystems in high-growth SaaS environments, including developing channel, GSI, and strategic partner programs.
- Expertise in designing and executing partner programs, including partner recruitment, onboarding, and enablement for selling and delivering solutions effectively.
- Demonstrated success in driving repeatable revenue from partner-led initiatives with clear returns on partner investments.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to create scalable and adaptable operating models and playbooks fit for diverse geographic regions and partner types.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with sales, marketing, and product teams to harmonize partner strategies with company objectives.
- Poised executive presence capable of establishing trust and fostering executive relationships with senior leaders in partner organizations.
- Hands-on, execution-focused approach with readiness to build playbooks, dive into operational details, and simultaneously plan strategically for the ecosystem’s future growth.
- Willingness to work onsite at the Boston or Austin office at least three days per week.
- Experience in developer platforms, engineering tools, or infrastructure software is highly advantageous.
