Role Summary
This full-time remote leadership role is responsible for steering technology operations across several regions and business units. The position focuses on shaping, executing, and improving IT infrastructure, application operations, and service delivery so that systems remain dependable, scalable, and secure. The role also involves leading global operations teams, tracking performance indicators, addressing escalated issues, and driving ongoing improvements that support broader business goals.
The role works closely with executive leadership, finance, and other stakeholders to connect technology plans with strategic priorities, manage operational exposures, and enable digital transformation. Regular duties include reviewing operational dashboards, handling vendor partnerships, setting governance expectations, and making sure activities stay aligned with regulatory and internal requirements.
Core Duties
- Guide worldwide technology operations and ensure service delivery stays reliable, secure, and scalable.
- Direct the planning and execution of IT infrastructure and application operations across multiple regions.
- Lead distributed operations teams and support collaboration across time zones and cultures.
- Monitor operational performance measures, investigate issues, and resolve escalations efficiently.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts that strengthen business outcomes and service quality.
- Coordinate with executive leaders, finance, and business partners to align technology roadmaps with company priorities.
- Oversee operational risks, governance practices, vendor management, and compliance obligations.
- Review dashboards and analytics to support informed decision-making and performance optimization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven leadership in technology or operations, ideally within insurance or other financial services environments.
- Experience managing IT service delivery, infrastructure operations, and cross-functional or cross-regional teams.
- Strong business planning ability with the capacity to align global operations to organizational objectives.
- Advanced analytical thinking for evaluating performance data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
- Solid budgeting and financial management skills, including cost control and investment planning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including presenting to senior executives and boards.
- Comfort working with remote teams and coordinating effectively across different regions and cultures.
- Working knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance standards.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree or relevant certifications such as ITIL or PMP are considered advantageous.
