The company currently seeks to establish a PMO to assist with a regeneration initiative in Riyadh and invites qualified candidates for the role of GIS Data Surveyor.
Role Overview
The GIS Data Surveyor will play a critical role in supporting the urban regeneration project in Riyadh by delivering high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting related to heritage sites, utilities, infrastructure, and other urban features. This senior-level position demands proficiency in advanced surveying technologies and data analytics to ensure the accuracy and integration of spatial models into project solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out and oversee 3D scanning of heritage assets and perform diagnostic surveys utilizing advanced tools such as Leica RTC360.
- Analyze and validate survey outputs by integrating data from orthophotos, GIS, and urban analytics to produce precise spatial representations.
- Create and manipulate true orthophotos and X-ray visualizations derived from point cloud data to evaluate site characteristics.
- Conduct and supervise cadastral surveys ensuring correspondence with land ownership documents and cadastral information.
- Lead surveying efforts for essential infrastructure and utilities, including mapping networks, evaluating connected capacity, and assessing repair conditions.
- Review survey requirements across heritage, infrastructure, and urban assets, coordinating with project management for thorough investigations.
- Plan and prioritize survey activities to meet design deadlines and execution schedules efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with procurement teams to develop Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and contract documentation for specialized survey work.
- Provide expert advice on advanced surveying equipment usage, ensuring accurate data acquisition and processing.
- Maintain 3D models, ortho-rectified imagery, and updated digital datasets following best practices.
- Produce comprehensive reports and presentations using AutoCAD, BIM software, and standard office applications to inform project teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure full adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards throughout fieldwork and data collection procedures.
- Perform safety evaluations and advocate for a safe working environment on-site.
- Collaborate closely with PMO leadership, design teams, and stakeholders, ensuring survey data accuracy and smooth integration with urban regeneration efforts.
- Supervise and provide technical direction to junior surveyors and fieldwork teams as necessary.
Candidate Profile and Required Skills
- At least 10 years’ experience in surveying, particularly with listed heritage structures and strong understanding of HSSE regulations.
- Documented experience with over 30 instances of in situ data collection using Leica RTC360 and data processing.
- Advanced knowledge in HDR imaging and Leica Cyclone software.
- Expertise in creating and handling true orthophotos and X-ray images from point cloud datasets.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
- Relevant professional certifications or membership in industry bodies is preferred.
