Job Overview
An esteemed surgical care organization in Newport News, Virginia, seeks a Gastroenterologist who is board-certified or board-eligible to join their expanding hospitalist team. This position offers a remarkable work-life balance with a 7-on/7-off schedule and highly competitive annual compensation reaching $700,000. This opportunity is open to both new graduates and experienced gastroenterologists looking to contribute to diverse inpatient consults and emergency room procedures in a fully equipped hospital endoscopy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform 7-10 endoscopic procedures daily with support from dedicated advanced practice providers during night shifts
- Provide comprehensive inpatient consultations and emergency procedures within hospital endoscopy suites
- Work 7 consecutive days followed by 7 days off, totaling 182 working days annually under a secure 2-year contract
