Role Summary

As the Geothermal Monitoring Supervisor, you will head a team responsible for gathering accurate and timely data through well testing, compliance monitoring, and resource management. Your leadership will enhance workflows, build team skills, and foster an environment for high-quality outcomes. You will also be involved in projects supporting decarbonisation efforts and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor measurement technicians to deliver precise data vital for well testing and compliance.
  • Streamline and clarify operational workflows to increase efficiency and quality of monitoring processes.
  • Support or lead initiatives related to decarbonisation and improved operational performance.
  • Collaborate with various business stakeholders to align monitoring activities with long-term asset sustainability.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring experience in geothermal, environmental sciences, or a related technical discipline, with a strong knowledge of monitoring, chemical sampling, and data quality management. Leadership skills and the ability to improve team capabilities and standards are essential. Additionally, a genuine commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance is required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or commensurate experience in geothermal or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and delivering technical results.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in operational contexts.
  • Clear communication skills tailored to varied audiences.
  • Experience in continuous improvement practices and ability to enhance performance frameworks is advantageous but not mandatory.
