About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Senior Design Manager to join a dynamic international multi-disciplinary team, providing extensive geotechnical design services. This role is an excellent opportunity for professionals aiming to broaden their global exposure through challenging projects in infrastructure, energy, water, and transport sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams with a focus on delivering high-quality geotechnical engineering design solutions.
- Manage and negotiate projects ensuring commercial success while maintaining technical excellence.
- Engage with international clients confidently, managing communications and expectations.
- Produce and verify detailed technical reports and documentation.
- Innovate and implement sustainable engineering practices throughout project cycles.
- Travel domestically and internationally on short-term assignments as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, complemented by a Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer certification such as P.Eng. from US/Canada or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) status.
- Minimum 12 to 14 years of relevant design experience in a fast-paced engineering consultancy.
- Proven background working on transportation and infrastructure projects in regions including the UK, US, Canada, and the Middle East.
- Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software including PLAXIS 2D/3D, GEOSTUDIO SUITE, WALLAP, FREW, PDISP, and REPUTE.
- Experience in complex soil-structure interaction and numerical analysis is desirable.
- Ability to interpret and apply local geotechnical codes alongside international standards.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills in English.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in team management and stakeholder coordination.
