Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position in Tirana requires a Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist who will be responsible for conducting spatial data analysis, maintaining and managing geospatial databases, and producing maps and visual data representations. The role involves implementing GIS data solutions for various projects and collaborating closely with different teams to guarantee the precise and efficient use of geographic information.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze spatial datasets and manage related databases.
- Create and design maps and visualizations to support project goals.
- Maintain GIS datasets and implement geographic data solutions.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to optimize geospatial data usage.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in GIS and geospatial data analysis.
- Experience with mapping and visualization software tools.
- Strong data management skills to handle extensive datasets competently.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and relevant GIS software applications.
- Knowledge of cartography principles and geospatial data standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work onsite within a team setting.
Work Schedule and Benefits
- Work hours run from 08:00 to 16:00, Monday through Friday.
- Position is based fully onsite in Tirana.
