About the Role
Join the dynamic and expanding Geophysics team within the TAUBER Unternehmensgruppe, specializing in explosive ordnance disposal. We provide comprehensive services from geophysical preliminary investigations to the recovery, defusing, and destruction of munitions. We are looking for motivated individuals to support our team in Greven as a Geo-Trainee / Geophysicist (m/f/d) in ordnance clearance. Our dedicated one-year trainee program is designed to give you an ideal start to your professional career.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geophysical measurements using magnetics, Time Domain Electromagnetics (TDEM), and ground-penetrating radar (GPR).
- Analyze geophysical measurement data to locate disturbances or buried objects.
- Participate in research and development projects, including software programming initiatives aimed at enhancing data analysis.
- Perform precise positioning of clearance sites using Differential GPS (DGPS).
- Input measurement data into GIS systems and produce corresponding maps.
- Document measurement findings through detailed reports and cartographic visualizations.
- Manage projects independently as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Diploma) in Geophysics, Geography, Geosciences, or a related field with geophysical focus.
- Valid driver's license (Class B).
- Preferably experienced with magnetics, TDEM, and/or ground-penetrating radar techniques.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office.
- Experience with GIS software such as QGIS and geophysical processing software like ReflexW is an advantage.
- Programming knowledge, especially in Python, is beneficial.
- Fluent in German, both spoken and written.
- Highly motivated to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong concentration and solution-oriented mindset.
