About the Role

This opportunity offers a four-day workweek with no weekend shifts, allowing you as a general practitioner in New Zealand to focus on quality patient care and enjoy the outdoors around Wellington.

Work Environment and Responsibilities

Your workday involves managing clear, structured consultation hours, supporting a consistent patient base, and delivering primary care services. You will conduct approximately 20 to 25 patient consultations daily and maintain an overview of your patients' healthcare needs.

You will collaborate with six fellow doctors, nursing staff, and other support personnel to provide comprehensive frontline care. The clinic is well-equipped, enabling you to concentrate fully on patient care.

A fixed buddy will support you during your initial period, helping you become acquainted with clinical procedures and the local healthcare system gradually.

The practice is located in a city that provides both a cozy atmosphere and access to beaches, nature, and vibrant urban amenities like restaurants and cultural hubs.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of BIG registration for practice as a general practitioner.
• A minimum of 33 months of clinical experience within the last 48 months.
• Proficiency in English demonstrated by IELTS or OET scores, or willingness to attain certification.
• Ability to work independently coupled with strong clinical reasoning skills.
• Openness to adapting to a different healthcare environment.

Terms and Benefits

• Annual gross salary ranging from 180000 to 220000 New Zealand Dollars for a full-time equivalent position, which translates approximately to €93949 to €114826 based on mid-2025 exchange rates, pro-rated for a four-day workweek.
