Position Summary
The General Operative supports the production of printed leaflets and booklets, ensuring these meet customer quality expectations as outlined by ISO and PS9000 Quality standards, along with adherence to OHSAS18001 health and safety protocols. Although the role's key duties are outlined below, the incumbent may be required to perform any trained or competent functions as necessary due to changing business demands. Any substantial role changes will be accompanied by updated job documentation.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain strict compliance with health and safety procedures and promptly report all accidents, near misses, or hazardous incidents.
- Follow established shift schedules and respect current working systems.
- Interpret and execute work instructions accurately as provided on VWT systems.
- Meet daily and weekly production targets, ensuring timely and quality-compliant shipment of products.
- Precisely record production data in systems such as SFDC and VWT as mandated.
- Adhere to quality standards consistent with ISO9001 and PS9000, contributing to continuous production improvement initiatives.
- Perform all duties in line with operational procedures and quality policies, remaining fully informed of these guidelines.
- Assist with cleaning machinery and equipment as per planned maintenance schedules, ensuring workspaces are kept in excellent condition.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of Leaving Certificate is required.
- Mechanical qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems is desirable.
- Willingness and flexibility to work various shifts.
- Ability to critically examine leaflets and booklets to maintain high-quality standards is essential.
- Mechanical experience is considered a plus.
