The role also has a commercial focus, with accountability for supporting membership growth, improving team output, and keeping the club operating to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all day-to-day club operations.
- Guide, inspire, and develop staff across every department.
- Oversee pool operations, including compliance requirements, water quality, plant room supervision, and safety controls.
- Maintain full adherence to health and safety rules, operational standards, and risk procedures.

- Track budgets, manage expenditure, and work toward financial goals.
- Ensure the facility remains clean, well-presented, and properly maintained.
- Build positive relationships with members and resolve feedback in a professional manner.
- Partner with senior leadership to deliver wider business plans and objectives.
Ideal Candidate

Experience managing a site with a swimming pool and wet leisure areas is essential, along with a solid grasp of pool plant systems, safety rules, and compliance expectations.
You should have a proven record of leading teams, developing people, and improving commercial performance through sales and membership growth. Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities are important, as is a practical, hands-on style with a strong focus on customer service.
Qualifications related to leisure, fitness, pool operations, or management are considered an advantage.
