  • Turn company initiatives into clear priorities and ensure the store team follows through on them.
  • Present store strategy to Retail Leadership, Corporate Business Partners, and Team Partners, sharing insights on operations, sell-through, and customer feedback.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Team Partner requests and route items to Fanatics Business Partners when needed.
  • Review performance metrics, daily operations, and P&L results to identify gaps and launch improvement plans with store leadership.
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and help lead change effectively.
  • Maintain a consistently high-quality fan experience across all store activities.
  • Embed Fanatics values into daily operational planning and team execution.

Experience leading both exempt and non-exempt employees is strongly preferred, and the role requires comfort with independent decision-making while still following company and departmental standards. Success in this role also depends on the ability to understand retail trends, collaborate across functions, manage employee relations with HR support, and create a healthy environment that supports growth and constructive conflict resolution.

Required experience and capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • At least 5 years of retail management experience, ideally in a flagship or high-profile store.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to identify business trends and work with cross-functional teams to create action plans that drive results.
  • Strong understanding of customer/fan behavior and market demand.
  • Solid retail finance knowledge, including P&L management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operational excellence and deliver results.
  • Capacity to provide clear direction, assign tasks, and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Experience handling employee relations in partnership with HR and in compliance with company policy and applicable state/local laws, including union activity where relevant.
  • Willingness to model inclusive leadership and support others’ development.

Work environment and physical requirements

  • This is an on-site role based at the location.
  • The job regularly requires sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and moving around the facility.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs is required.
  • Game day schedules may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions such as rain, wind, cold, or high temperatures, depending on where the shop is located.

Benefits

  • Access to a culture focused on collaboration, support, and continuous development.
  • Work with a high-caliber team committed to improving the fan experience.
