Position Overview
We're seeking an accomplished business executive to fully own a business unit at BlueThrone. This role carries comprehensive responsibility over the profit and loss, product strategy, teams, customer relationships, and growth initiatives. Unlike typical function management roles, this position requires running the business as its chief executive officer, accountable for all results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire business unit including revenue, customer retention, product roadmap, and profitability.
- Recruit, organize, and develop cross-disciplinary teams encompassing Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Commercial divisions.
- Lead B2B growth efforts by managing pricing, sales processes, partnerships, developer and B2B marketing, and expansion within existing client accounts.
- Define strategic direction and ensure its execution on a quarterly basis.
- Coordinate the unit's products, technology, and go-to-market approach with BlueThrone's overall platform and teams for seamless integration and scalability.
- Serve as the primary representative of the business unit to customers, partners, and the broader market.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive, practical experience in the mobile app market including understanding of subscription models, app store economics, SDKs, monetization tactics, and growth strategies.
- Proven B2B background related to mobile apps, such as involvement in building, selling, or managing B2B products for mobile app developers or publishers, like SDKs, analytics, attribution, monetization, or infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrated experience owning and managing a business unit or company with profit and loss accountability rather than overseeing a single operational function.
- Successful track record in building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams, earning strong loyalty and followership.
- An operator’s mentality capable of balancing strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving, from board-level planning to resolving urgent customer issues.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Experience in integrating businesses post-acquisition or guiding companies through mergers and acquisitions.
- Familiarity with subscription infrastructure, revenue operations, or platforms targeted at developers.
- Commercial exposure to global B2B SaaS clients ranging from small and medium businesses to enterprises.
- Competency in data-driven decision-making, especially utilizing cohort analysis, lifetime value assessments, and revenue metrics.
- Experience scaling startups from uncertain early stages rather than just optimizing established operations.
