General Labourer

Overview

Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS) is recruiting General Labourers to maintain the Jansen Discovery Lodge, a workforce housing facility supporting the potash mine located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Work Schedule and Accommodation

The role follows a rotation of 14 days working followed by 7 days off. The company provides accommodations and meals throughout the work rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the outdoor environment year-round, including snow and ice removal, lawn mowing, raking, weeding, pruning shrubs and trees, watering lawns, and cleaning sidewalks.
• Operate handheld tools and equipment safely for maintaining grounds, including lawn mowing, snow clearing, and cleaning parking lots and sidewalks.
• Use various machinery such as bobcat, front-end loader, sand truck, and aerial work platform.
• Collect and dispose of waste and debris appropriately.
• Clean exterior windows and eaves of all buildings on site.
• Keep building exteriors free of debris and leaves.
• Manage supplies like fuel, oil, soil, fertilizers, and weed control products in an organized manner.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a groundskeeper or landscaper, including equipment operation and maintenance, is beneficial.
• A valid skidsteer operator ticket is mandatory.
• Background or certification in pesticide application for Saskatchewan is advantageous; the candidate must be willing to complete certification training if required.
• Preferred certifications include confined space entry, fall arrest/protection, and aerial work platform operation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
