Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site accounting role based in Business Bay, Dubai. The Accountant - Business Setup will manage the full accounting cycle connected to company formation activities. The position involves maintaining ledgers, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory requirements. The selected candidate will also guide clients on financial matters, assist with VAT and corporate tax registration processes, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting during the setup phase. Close coordination with the business setup team will be important to ensure accurate and timely delivery of accounting support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle accounting work end to end for business setup and company formation assignments.
  • Maintain and review ledgers with accuracy.
  • Prepare financial statements and related reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accounting practices align with UAE compliance requirements.
  • Advise clients on financial aspects of setting up a business.
  • Support VAT and corporate tax registration activities.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for setup-related operations.
  • Work closely with the business setup team to deliver services on time.

Required Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts, ledger handling, and financial reporting.
  • Practical exposure to tax compliance procedures, especially VAT and corporate tax.
  • Awareness of UAE financial, audit, and regulatory expectations.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting tools such as Zoho, QuickBooks, or comparable software.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate with different teams and clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Prior familiarity with UAE business setup processes and related financial procedures will be considered an advantage.
