Company Overview

Swadeshi Woollen Mills is a seasoned manufacturer of high-quality military and institutional apparel, backed by more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Established by Mr. Bal Krishan Dhanda and Mr. Sonu Dhanda, the organization is recognized for dependable delivery, meticulous workmanship, and steady product quality. It combines traditional expertise with modern methods to supply uniforms to India’s defence forces, central armed police forces, Indian Railways, state police, and other government bodies. Its focus is on making garments that protect, perform well, and stand the test of time, supporting frontline services across the country.

Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position in Ludhiana for a GeM Tender Executive. The selected candidate will handle the complete lifecycle of government e-marketplace (GeM) tenders, from spotting relevant opportunities and reviewing tender documents to building compliant bids and submitting them on time. The role also includes working closely with internal teams on pricing, technical details, and paperwork; uploading bids; monitoring tender progress; and maintaining accurate records for tenders, agreements, and communication. In addition, the executive will stay updated on GeM policy changes, assist with award-stage order processing and follow-ups, prepare MIS reports, answer queries from government departments, and contribute to improving internal public-procurement processes.

Qualifications and Experience

The role calls for a solid understanding of the GeM portal, public procurement procedures, and prior exposure to government or PSU tender handling. Candidates should be comfortable using MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with basic computer skills for drafting documents, analyzing data, and completing online submissions. Strong written and spoken communication is important for tender paperwork, clarification responses, emails, and cross-functional coordination. The position also requires strong attention to detail, good organization, and the ability to manage several tenders and deadlines at once. Analytical and numerical ability is needed to interpret technical and commercial terms, pricing formats, and tender comparisons. The candidate should work well with production, finance, and sales teams and bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset to tender-related work. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Public Administration, or a related discipline is preferred, and experience in textiles, garments, or defence supply is considered an advantage. Familiarity with government rules, contracts, and related compliance practices is also expected.
