Job description
Role overview
This leadership role is responsible for steering strategic accounts, acting as the execution lead for SHD, and serving as the commercial connector across the cluster. The position manages SHD accounts, supports country leadership governance, and works closely with Public Affairs to drive important external engagements.
Key impact areas
In this role, you will oversee strategic account management, guide executive-level relationships such as GPOs, and help align internal and external stakeholders around country priorities. You will also contribute to institutional engagement, support government-related interactions, coordinate with national societies and patient groups, and handle selected capabilities such as bids, tenders, and local congress/event delivery.
You will lead Country Leadership Team governance, promote cultural alignment across teams, support ESG execution, and oversee internal in-country operations such as office-related matters and supplier contracting. The position also requires strong coordination, judgment, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple functions in a regulated environment.
Requirements
The role requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification. Candidates should bring at least 10 years of total industry experience, including 5 years in a leadership position, with experience as a business unit manager or general manager responsible for cross-functional oversight at country level.
Additional skills and experience
Strong candidates will have a track record of shaping and executing complex country-level strategies. Experience in health economics, patient-reported outcomes, retrospective data analysis, epidemiology, or health services research is highly desirable. Exposure to building pharma or health-economic models for publication or customer-facing use is also preferred, along with experience in a regulated industry.
Other important capabilities include advanced project leadership, strong command of Microsoft Office and related systems, sound analytical and critical thinking ability, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. The role also calls for negotiation skills, relationship management, careful attention to detail, discretion in decision-making, and the ability to work across all levels of the organization while escalating issues appropriately. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-moving and evolving environment and comply with company rules, safety requirements, environmental health and safety practices, and pollution-prevention measures.
