About The Role

This position involves advanced horticultural work, focusing on the upkeep and enhancement of gardens and outdoor spaces. It is ideal for individuals who have a passion for gardening and landscaping, and who enjoy engaging in practical outdoor activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planting, weeding, pruning, and watering of plants.
• Manage lawn care including mowing and edge trimming, maintaining turf areas.
• Ensure the overall campus grounds are kept to a high standard of presentation.
• Prepare soil, mulch, and establish plant beds.
• Operate and perform maintenance on gardening tools and equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.

Candidate Profile

• Possess Certificate II or III in Horticulture or an equivalent qualification.
• Have or be willing to acquire a Working with Children Check.
• Hold a valid driver's licence; manual licence preferred.
• Possess a White Card certification.
• Demonstrated previous experience in gardening roles is essential.
• Physical capability to lift heavy items and perform tasks requiring bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing for long durations.
• Willingness to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and sun exposure.
• Strong dedication towards efficiently completing work to the highest standards.
• Attention to detail and pride in the quality of work delivered.
