About the Role
The SnapDragon Engineering division in Cork, Ireland, is offering internship opportunities within its Digital, Analog, and Embedded Software Design & Verification teams. These teams focus on pioneering intellectual property (IP) related to the newest Snapdragon chipsets, including CPUs, artificial intelligence, encryption, graphics, and more. Candidates will work on cutting-edge FinFET silicon technologies of 5nm node and below, collaborating closely with architecture, software, measurement, and SoC teams both locally and globally. This internship provides hands-on experience in developing advanced ASICs and SoCs for multifunctional mobile platforms, equipping participants with essential skills for a technical career in this dynamic industry.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in design, programming, and scripting languages such as Verilog, VHDL, C/C++, Python, Tcl, Perl, or shell scripting.
- Project experience involving FPGA usage.
- Knowledge of low power design methodologies.
- Understanding of analog integrated circuits.
- Familiarity with wireless/wired communications and protocols, multimedia graphics/video, ARM processors, or security algorithms.
- Proficient computer skills including Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite, and Visio.
- Commitment towards successfully completing assigned tasks thoroughly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Academic coursework in Circuits and Electronics, Signals and Systems, Microelectronic Devices and Circuits, Semiconductor Devices, Feedback Systems, Digital Integrated Circuits, Digital Signal Processing, Low power VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, and Software Programming.
- No prior work experience is required.
Additional Information
Applicants must have completed at least the second year of their Bachelor’s degree and preferably be in the second year of their Master’s program.
