Job description
Role overview
This is a full-time, on-site Furniture Carpenter position in Sajaa, Sharjah, supporting the creation of custom furniture and fixtures for creative projects and client-facing campaigns. The role focuses on turning design concepts into well-built, visually polished pieces that meet both functional and aesthetic goals.
What you will do
You will read technical drawings, plans, and design instructions, then choose suitable materials and carry out accurate measuring, cutting, assembling, and installation work. The job involves working with hand tools and power tools to complete framing, joinery, and finish carpentry with a strong focus on precision and durability.
You will work closely with designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure the final output matches the creative brief. The position also includes maintaining a tidy and safe workspace, checking the quality of completed items, looking after tools and equipment, and handling occasional installations at client sites or event venues.
Requirements and qualifications
The ideal candidate should have solid carpentry expertise, including the ability to read blueprints, measure accurately, cut materials, assemble components, and install finished furniture and fixtures. Hands-on experience with common woodworking hand tools and power tools is important, along with safe and efficient tool handling.
Practical knowledge of framing and structural woodworking is needed to build stable and long-lasting furniture. Strong finish carpentry skills such as sanding, fitting, detailing, and applying finishes are also required for delivering client-ready pieces.
Prior work as a furniture carpenter, joiner, or cabinet maker in a workshop, fabrication studio, or similar setup will be valuable. The role also calls for the ability to understand technical drawings and design specifications, careful attention to detail, physical stamina, manual dexterity, and effective teamwork and communication.
A commitment to safety practices and proper maintenance of tools and machinery is expected. Vocational training or certification in carpentry or woodworking is an added advantage, and experience in advertising, events, or interior fit-out work is a plus.

The role is based at the Sajaa location in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The listed pay is 2,500 to 3,000, but the pay period was not specified in the source.
