Job description
Role overview
This position is for a Furnace Operator based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on safely running reheating furnaces and keeping production efficient while meeting quality, safety, and environmental expectations.
Key duties
- Run and continuously watch reheating furnace operations to support safe, smooth, and efficient output.
- Adjust furnace temperatures, process settings, and billet movement as required for production.
- Carry out regular checks, spot equipment issues, and work with maintenance teams to resolve them.
- Keep accurate operating logs and records for day-to-day furnace activity.
- Follow applicable quality, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
Technical exposure required
The role requires hands-on experience with walking hearth furnaces and gas-fired reheating furnaces. Candidates should also be familiar with furnace operations, gas safety practices, process automation, and refractory systems.
Experience and education
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. A diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering is needed.
Communication skills
Strong English communication skills are expected. Knowledge of Arabic or Hindi will be considered an additional advantage.
