Job description

Role overview

X91 Capital Management is seeking a driven and relationship-focused fundraising professional to support capital raising for its SEBI-registered Category III AIF. This position is centered on building and maintaining strong ties with wealth management firms, private banks, registered investment advisors, family offices, and high-net-worth investors, with the goal of steadily increasing inflows into the fund.

The opportunity is best suited to someone who combines product understanding, market connectivity, persuasive communication, and structured sales execution. The role also involves expanding the distribution network, handling investor conversations, coordinating pitches, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process in partnership with internal teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Run fundraising and sales efforts for the Category III AIF across wealth management platforms, private banks, family offices, UHNI and HNI investors, and RIAs.
  • Manage the complete sales journey, including lead generation, investor meetings, product presentations, follow-ups, conversions, and onboarding.
  • Work toward quarterly and annual fundraising goals through disciplined execution.
  • Develop and deepen relationships with relationship managers, wealth heads, distributors, and RIAs.
  • Share product training, market commentary, and performance updates with channel partners.
  • Coordinate recurring meetings, webinars, and investment sessions with distribution partners.
  • Track competitor activity, peer fund launches, and product positioning in the market.
  • Meet UHNIs, HNIs, and family offices to explain the strategy, performance, and risk framework of the fund.
  • Support customized allocations or solutions for larger investors where needed.
  • Assist the CIO/PM in roadshows and investor roundtables.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, AIF structures, and SEBI regulations.
  • Keep the sales pipeline current in CRM tools such as LeadSquared, Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.
  • Monitor fundraising metrics such as leads, meetings, commitments, funds received, channel performance, and conversion ratios.
  • Prepare weekly MIS updates for management and the investment team.
  • Coordinate with investor relations, legal, documentation, operations, RTA, and compliance teams.
  • Ensure timely KYC completion, onboarding, subscription processing, and investor communication.
  • Share investor feedback and market insights with the investment team to support product strategy.
  • Help create fundraising material such as pitch decks, factsheets, performance reports, product notes, and FAQs.
  • Support webinars, marketing initiatives, and digital events designed to improve investor engagement.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in fundraising, wealth management, investment product distribution, or private banking.
  • Prior exposure to capital raising for AIFs, PMS, or structured products is a strong advantage.
  • Graduation in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred; MBA is an added advantage.
  • NISM certifications such as Investment Advisor, Mutual Fund, or AIF-related modules are desirable.
  • Existing relationships with wealth platforms will be considered a major plus.
  • Strong network across wealth channels, private banks, RIAs, and family offices.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to explain investment strategies clearly.
  • Working knowledge of AIF structures, especially Category II and Category III, and the regulatory environment.
  • Good understanding of equity markets, risk metrics, performance analysis, and market trends.
  • Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with high-value clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly self-driven, motivated, and target-focused.
  • Capable of handling objections positively and converting challenging leads.
  • Professional, trustworthy, and customer-oriented.
  • Able to manage time, pipeline, and multiple stakeholders effectively.

Performance metrics

  • Achievement of quarterly and annual fundraising targets.
  • Number of new empanelments signed.
  • RM and channel engagement scores.
  • Conversion rate from investor meetings.
  • Repeat investment and retention levels.
  • Quality and accuracy of reporting and pipeline management.
  • Contribution to brand visibility and investor communication.

What we offer

  • A high-impact position reporting directly to senior leadership.
  • The chance to work with a fast-growing Category III AIF.
