About the Role
The Asian Kid seeks a dedicated and passionate full-time Science Tutor specialized in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to join our expanding academic team. This remote role focuses on delivering impactful online lessons to GCSE students and involves contributions to curriculum design, academic strategies, assessments, and ensuring high student achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive and engaging online lessons covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology tailored for GCSE students.
- Equip students with thorough preparation for GCSE exams including concept understanding, problem solving, and exam tactics.
- Modify teaching approaches to accommodate varied student learning styles and academic levels.
- Promote critical thinking, curiosity, and build student confidence in scientific subjects.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, homework, revision materials, and mock exams in advance.
- Continuously update and enhance teaching resources to uphold high educational standards.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive, personalized feedback.
- Keep detailed records of attendance, homework completion, and overall academic development.
- Communicate student progress reports to parents and academic directors as necessary.
- Collaborate with the academic team via meetings, training sessions, and curriculum planning.
- Follow professional conduct guidelines and company policies in all dealings with students and parents.
- Submit lesson and student progress reports punctually.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Education, or a similar discipline; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- At least one year of experience teaching GCSE, IGCSE, or a comparable international curriculum.
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong foundational knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects.
- Experience instructing students from diverse international backgrounds.
- Reliable high-speed internet, a laptop or desktop computer equipped with a webcam and microphone.
- Familiarity with online meeting platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
- Aptitude for creating engaging digital content like PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, and interactive materials.

Working Hours and Employment Details
- This is a full-time remote position with work scheduled Monday through Saturday.
- Work hours will align with student batch timings and operational needs.
- Compensation is competitive and varies based on qualifications, teaching experience, and subject knowledge.
