Role overview
O'Brien's Wines is looking for an energetic and customer-focused full-time Sales Assistant to join the Galway team. The role is based at Unit 27/28, Galway Shopping Centre, Headford Road, Galway, and involves supporting day-to-day store operations while delivering a high standard of service to every customer.
This position is stated as 31 hours per week. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment, have an interest in wine, and be keen to keep developing their product knowledge.
What you'll do
- Carry out day-to-day tasks as directed by management and follow company procedures carefully.
- Welcome shoppers, help them find suitable products, and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Process purchases correctly using the till and handle transactions with accuracy.
- Monitor stock and keep shelves and back-of-house areas tidy and well arranged.
- Maintain attractive merchandising and ensure the store always looks professional and inviting.
- Build product knowledge so you can guide customers more effectively.
- Assist with deliveries, display setup, and general upkeep of the shop floor.
