Full-Time Retail Merchandise Coordinator

Role Summary

The Retail Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for running receiving and merchandising activities, helping associates work efficiently, and keeping the store clean, organized, and customer-ready. The role also requires strong customer engagement and consistent service leadership.

Key Duties

• Build a positive experience for both customers and store associates.
• Model honesty, integrity, and confidentiality in daily work.
• Coordinate truck unloading and move merchandise quickly to the sales floor.
• Coach and support associates on merchandising and processing standards.
• Make sure items are tagged, hung, secured, and coded correctly.
• Work with the Coordinator on Duty to maintain smooth flow of product to the sales floor.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed according to the store plan, adjusting priorities when needed.
• Track team productivity and provide coaching where required.
• Arrange and turn over back stock to support easy replenishment.
• Maintain merchandising presentation and signage standards.
• Keep the backroom organized, clean, and compliant with recovery expectations.
• Follow recycling rules and hazardous waste procedures when applicable.
• Communicate priorities, status updates, and progress clearly with managers and associates.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Support associate training needs in partnership with management.
• Follow all labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
• Encourage credit and loyalty program participation.
• Help reduce shrink through store programs and controls.
• Promote safety and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Candidate Profile

The company is looking for someone who can work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, communicates well, stays organized, and pays close attention to detail. The ideal candidate can handle multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changes, work well with a team, lift heavy items with or without reasonable accommodation, and train others.

Experience Required

Applicants should have at least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Pay Information

The starting pay range for this position is $12.75 to $13.25 per hour. Final starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
