Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Registrar/Scheduler to join our urgent care center in El Paso, TX. This entry-level position is essential for managing patient flow by scheduling appointments, registering patients upon arrival, and providing a welcoming experience. The role demands strong multitasking capabilities within a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments and registrations efficiently to support clinic operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Maintain clear and effective communication to ensure smooth scheduling processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum education of a high school diploma.
- Prior office or customer service experience, ideally within healthcare or financial services.
- Proficient communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
Preferred Knowledge and Certifications
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD-10 (ICD9) coding.
- Understanding of payor terminology related to healthcare billing.
- Certification as a Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) is advantageous.
