Role Overview

The Keyholder plays a crucial role in delivering excellent execution quality which allows meaningful customer interaction. They offer advice on products and services that promote the health and enjoyment of pets. Keyholders share responsibility for the store's profits to support growth and future success as the trusted partner in pets’ lives. They assist with all store operations and help represent the store in the local community. Their work is guided by Safety, Compassion, Expertise, and Efficiency, aligned with our Core Beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cashier and manage customer sales transactions.
• Prepare merchandise orders, handle banking tasks, and complete miscellaneous paperwork.
• Stock small items (under 10 lbs) including pet supplies and household products in the sales area.
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, and performing other store upkeep duties.
• Assist with unloading deliveries of cases and bags of pet food and supplies, stocking items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Open and close the store effectively according to company protocols.
• Support daily task assignment to ACE staff in the absence of Store or Assistant Managers.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years retail or customer service experience.
• Familiarity with using a POS system.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer service capabilities.
• Ability to repeatedly lift weights of up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Dependable transportation to and from the store.
• May require a valid driver’s license.
