Role Overview

The Grocery Clerk at Thrifty Foods in Sidney is responsible for performing all assigned tasks efficiently and professionally, ensuring high standards of accuracy and timeliness. Delivering excellent customer service, promoting customer satisfaction and loyalty, and contributing positively to both employee and customer engagement are essential aspects of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety regulations, corporate policies and related programs.
• Order, receive, and display stock according to inventory control requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service to fulfill customer needs.
• Enhance sales by actively promoting featured products.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of both back shop and retail floor areas as per company standards.
• Prepare customer orders when required.
• Handle department shrink processes as necessary.
• Assist in training junior employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Capacity to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and reaching.
