About Café du Parc and Role Overview

Café du Parc, located in the heart of Killarney within the Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa, is a lively café and bar offering breakfast, lunch, and a variety of beverages seven days a week. Recently renovated, it provides a comfortable social environment for a diverse clientele ranging from locals to international visitors. We are looking for a skilled full-time Barista to join our team, willing to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft and serve an assortment of specialty coffees and drinks consistently to high standards
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, seasonal selections, and promote upselling when appropriate
• Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the coffee station and service areas at all times
• Provide warm, engaging, and attentive customer service to create enjoyable experiences
• Accurately handle cash and card payments in compliance with company protocols
• Assist with opening and closing tasks such as setting up and end-of-day cleaning
• Support the broader café and bar team during peak times as needed
• Monitor inventory levels and report restocking needs to management
• Adhere to all health, safety, and food safety standards following company policies
• Promote a positive team atmosphere and uphold the brand standards of both Café du Parc and Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a comparable role is essential
• Must hold barista training or relevant certification
• Strong customer service aptitude with a friendly demeanor
• Ability to remain composed and efficient under pressure in busy settings
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
• Fluent in English communication
