Job Summary

This full-time Dispatcher role involves coordinating and overseeing patient transportation services through precise and timely dispatching of transport requests, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction at Our Lady of the Lake Main Campus in Baton Rouge, LA.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized, high-quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Apply knowledge of patient transport principles, infection control, and proper body mechanics.
• Plan and direct transporter activities, including transporting patients as required.
• Manage transport functions ensuring timely task completion and compliance with departmental standards and priorities.
• Serve as a communication link between Patient Transportation and other hospital departments.
• Distribute and collect pagers; monitor daily sign-in and sign-out for staff.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Address and resolve complaints from patients, visitors, or staff, proposing effective solutions for persistent issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule and Location

Position based onsite at Our Lady of the Lake Main Campus, 5000 Hennessy Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA. Work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday with rotating weekend shifts; hours may vary and will be detailed during the interview process.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $14.00 to $15.00.
