About the Role

Au Cheval New York, part of the Hogsalt group, is seeking a committed and skilled full-time barista to enhance our coffee service team. Responsibilities

• Ensure all workstations are fully stocked and properly arranged before and during service, including performing any opening duties as required.
• Welcome guests warmly, process orders accurately, and handle payments efficiently using POS systems.
• Prepare coffee and other beverages strictly following Hogsalt’s recipes and uphold our coffee program's high standards and food safety regulations.
• Anticipate guest needs and consistently provide authentic, kind, and generous service.
• Address guest concerns promptly, escalating any food or service issues to management as necessary.
• Carry out all closing responsibilities such as financial reconciliation, closing sidework, thorough cleaning, and any additional leadership-assigned tasks.
• Execute all Hogsalt Steps of Service thoroughly to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s barista experience in busy coffee shops or cafes is essential.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move during shifts.
