Full-Time and Part-Time English Lecturers

Position Overview

The West Herts College Group is looking for motivated and experienced English lecturers to join their dedicated English department. These roles include full-time, part-time, and hourly paid positions based across college campuses in Watford, Hemel Hempstead, and Luton.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver, develop, and prepare courses for Stepping Stones and GCSE English.
• Work creatively and adapt teaching methods to support learners at different proficiency levels.
• Provide both individual and collaborative support to vocational staff for integrating English into their courses.
• Assist with diagnostic assessments and support students across a range of learning abilities.
• Contribute to the quality assurance process by preparing outstanding and innovative schemes of work, lesson plans, and individual learning plans.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong experience teaching English with the ability to innovate and adapt delivery approaches.
• Excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills necessary for effective student engagement and success.
