Fuel Operator - Into-Plane (ITP) Fueling

Overview

The Into-Plane Fuel Operator is entrusted with the critical responsibility of safely and efficiently delivering fuel to aircraft directly on the tarmac. This position requires navigating fueling machinery, verifying fuel quality, and ensuring that aircraft receive the appropriate type and volume of fuel as per airline standards. The role demands strict adherence to safety measures and regulatory requirements to avoid any spills, accidents, or interruptions in service. Additionally, the operator must maintain comprehensive fueling logs, conduct thorough equipment inspections prior to operations, and ensure timely completion of fueling tasks.

Primary Duties

• Ensure health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards are met by complying with AL SHAMS Energy Company policies, IATA regulations, JIG standards, GACA rules, and local legislation.
• Promptly report any incidents following prescribed reporting procedures.
• Participate in Toolbox Talks focused on safety, operational procedures, and ongoing training.
• Adhere to designated driving speed limits and regulatory requirements while operating company vehicles.
• Operate company equipment—including Refuellers, Dispensers, and Pick-up vehicles—as per company and GACA guidelines.
• Perform fueling activities in alignment with AL SHAMS ENERGY COMPANY's official work instructions.
• Conduct pre-operation and shift-change inspections of fueling equipment to confirm readiness and functionality; maintain and file all related documentation and forms.
• Handle the refueller loading process and carry out fuel quality control tests in compliance with company standards.
• Execute fuel tank gauging and dipping procedures.
• Collect daily fuel samples from Fuelers and Dispensers and perform quality control tests.
• Complete all required documentation related to fueling operations.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by Supervisors or Management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum educational attainment of High School diploma.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Competent in using personal computers and Microsoft Office suite applications.
• Possession of a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
• Physically fit with a suitable body constitution to perform required duties.
