Job description

Role overview

River Point Behavioral Health is hiring a full-time Nursing Staff Scheduler for its Jacksonville facility. This position is responsible for coordinating staffing for Nursing Services so the hospital remains appropriately covered at all times.

What you will do

The scheduler will prepare both monthly and daily staffing plans for nurses and mental health associates, support the Director of Nursing with clerical tasks, and step into a Mental Health Associate role on a unit when required.

As part of the backup MHA function, the role involves direct support for children, adolescents, and adults receiving psychiatric care, with the main focus on patient safety and well-being.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree in psychology is preferred. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred, along with experience in nurse scheduling and staff roster management. Familiarity with medical terminology is an advantage, as is previous work in a psychiatric hospital setting supporting children, adolescents, and/or adults. Strong Microsoft Office skills are also preferred.

Benefits

The role offers a challenging and rewarding environment, competitive pay, generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, a discounted stock plan, access to SoFi student loan refinancing, and career growth opportunities across UHS and its subsidiaries.

About the organization

River Point Behavioral Health is a UHS subsidiary and a beautiful 80-bed adolescent and adult Baker Act receiving facility in Jacksonville, Florida. The facility operates around the clock, seven days a week, and provides individualized mental health and addiction treatment in a confidential, supportive environment focused on crisis resolution, self-awareness, personal growth, and problem-solving.
